    1856: Mexico District 2 r. bright green, a fine horizontal pair but left stamp crossed by ironed file fold, used on 1859 entire letter to New York endorsed 'p. Tennessee' steamer, tied by 'Franco / Mexico' datestamps in black. 'New Orleans / La.' transit cds (Aug 25) and circular 'Steamship / 10' charge. A most attractive and rare overseas usage.
