    1 d. vermilion, a fine used strip of nine in a pale shade, variety: 'Frame Struck Sideways', with all stamps neatly cancelled by manuscript pen crosses, large margins and a crisp impression. The Jaretzsky collection boasts a similar smaller strip of seven, cancelled at left of the strip by identical pen crosses and by a dotted 'Caraz' handstamp in blue. The largest known multiple of this variety. Unique.
