    1861 (Oct 16): Cover to a Mrs. Welstead at the French Hotel in Singapore, struck with superb impression of circular POST OFFICE / SARAWAK handstamp in black with manuscript date '16/10/61' inserted in red ink, applied at Kuching. Reverse with framed 'SINGAPORE / Bearing' and manuscript '4' (annas) inserted. Opening tear at top but a great Postal History rarity.
