1693 (July 24): Entire letter from Guane (near Barichera) addressed to Villa de Santa Cruz y San Gil de la Nueva Baeza (a journey of 6 leagues / 33 km.), sent to a landlord from a servant and then presented to the Mayor of San Gil, Francisco de Vargas Sotomayor. Fresh and fine for such an early entire.
Note: San Gil was founded in 1620 as "Santa Cruz". In 1689 the name was changed to Villa de Santa Cruz y San Gil de la Nueva Baeza and was later shortened to San Gil.Starting bid : 200 CHFHammer price : 380 CHF -
