    1879 (Jan 13): Entire letter from Salonica to Warsaw, Poland, franked by 1867/74 10 s. blue and 15 s. brown (2, one with rounded corner perf.) tied by two line dated SALONICH handstamps in brown (Tchilinghirian fig. 594). Straight line FRANCO at left and red Warsaw arrival cds on reverse. A scarce franking of 40 soldi to the Russian border and charged '10' kopek for local delivery. Despite faults, a not unattractive cover to an unusual destination.
