    1/2 gr. orange, 1st plate, 1/2 gr. dark-orange, 2nd plate, and 1 gr. olive-brown, 2nd plate, all with good to large margins, tied by framed handstamp to outer letter sheet from Giarra  to Messina with arrival datestamp on reverse (May 5, 1859). The two 1/2 gr. stamps had been obliterated in advance, presumably in the P.O. of Giarre to defraud the poste. A most interesting and rare combination of two 1/2 gr. stamps from two plates with different colours. Certificates Alberto Diena (1970) and Raybaudi (1982) Sassone = EUR 34'500+.
    1/2 gr. arancio, I tavola, più 1/2 gr. arancio scuro, II tavola, più 1 gr. bruno oliva chiaro, II tavola, su lettera da Giarre, 5.5.1859, a Messina, annullati con timbri a ferro di cavallo, tutti ben marginati ma attraversati da una piega d'archivio. I due 1/2 gr. furono applicati sulla lettera già annullati in precedenza, frodando così la posta, come spesso avenne nell'ufficio di Giarre. Un'interessantissima e rara combinazione di francobolli da 1/2 gr. delle due tavole. Certificati Alberto Diena (1970) e Raybaudi (1982) Sassone = EUR 34'500+.
