    1885: De La Rue Essay for proposed 2 s. 6 d. value to replace the 'St. George & Dragon' Fiscal high values, entirely hand-drawn and painted in pencil and shades of violet and purple ink, TASMANIA and POSTAGE AND REVENUE highlighted with Chinese white on large card (73 x 92 mm.) marked "D" at lower right and dated "JAN.6.86" at top right in pencil.
