1850: 3 d. yellow-green on stout hard yellowish grey wove paper (positions 11-12-13-14), a horizontal strip of four with large even margins all round and of resonant colour with position 22 showing missing lower right ray in NW corner ornament, used on the famous 1852 entire letter from Tarcutta to Albury at six times the internal rate of 2 d. (the letter mentions enclosures), tied by crisp strikes of the "48" numeral obliterator in black. Reverse with oval "TARCUTTA / ♚ / NEW S. WALES" despatch datestamp (May 7) and fair Albury arrival of the following day.
