    1838 (Nov 12): Entire letter from Berne, Switzerland to Havana, reverse with manuscript Forwarding Agent "acheminée par Balguerie & Co., Bordeaux 20 Nov. 1838" in red ink; endorsed "par la Mathilde" with Bordeaux cds (Nov 20) on obverse with framed "P.P." both in red. Struck on arrival with circular "E. / NE" and rate mark "6" reales in black. Scarce and unusual entire. Ex the Brian Moorhouse estate.
