    1887 (Feb): New Dies 5 c. green on white, perf. 13½, two horizontal pairs (positions 7-8 and 17-18) used on registered 1887 single rate cover to Paris endorsed "via Southampton"; tied by "Port au Prince / Haiti" circular datestamps (Aug 30). Obverse with framed "R" for registration and "Calais a Paris" ambulante (Sept 17) and reverse witth Paris arrival cds of the following day. A fine and rare cover.
