    British East Africa Protectorate 1896/1901: 2 a. chocolate, a single example used on 1890 cover to Wateringbury, Kent tied by bold strike of MACHAKOS / E.A. PROTECTORATE cds in black (May 1). Reverse with Mombasa transit (May 3) and Maidstone cds (May 20). File fold away from the adhesive and minor edge wear but a scarce commercial usage: the cover mailed by Judge R.B.
