    Surcharged locally 1895 (Dec 19): '2½' in red on India 1 a. 6 p. sepia overprinted, a used horizontal pair on 1896 double rate cover to London tied by MOMBASA squared circle datestamps (Feb 29, 1896), with London arrival cds (March 23) on reverse. A few flap imperfections and file fold away from the adhesives but very scarce. It is interesting to note that the Danson, Rossiter and Minns collections collections possessed no examples of this adhesive on letter.
