    1862 (18. Nov.): 10c brown horizontal strip of three (wrinkles between perforations) and single, on letter from SALEMI to MALTA. The stamps are tied by two strikes of the SALEMI cds, a cachet PD in black is also applied to the front as well a 12 1/2 c credit to the Maltese post. On the reverse there are two transit marks from CATAFIMI (18. Nov.) and PALERMO (18. Nov.) and an arrival mark MALTA NO 24 62. According to the certificate Colla one of the largest recorded multiples of this shade. The foreign destination adds further interest to this unusual letter. Signed Bolaffi, E.
