    1848: Large part Official cover endorsed "On Service W. Newcastle" addressed from Morpeth on the Hunter River to Muswell Brook, struck with framed "MORPETH / FREE" handstamp in red; the reverse with oval framed "MAITLAND / ♚ / POST OFFICE" datestamp (May 8) and oval framed "MUSWELL BROOK / ♚ / NEW S. WALES" arrival datestamp (May 10) in black. Docketed at left "Bishop's intended visit, May 10th 1848". Lower flap trimmed but scarce.rnProvenance: Prestige, Melbourne, 2 May 2014, lot 1360.
