    1837: "Post Office Reform; its Importance and Practicability" by Rowland Hill, published by Charles Knight & Co., 22 Ludgate Street, London; complete with 104 pages including the appendix; with black on white ex libris label adhered to reverse of first page "Florence M. Davenport Hill". The book rebound with spine in gold tooled red Morocco. Of immense philatelic importance, exquisite and of great rarity so fine.rnNote: Florence Margaret Davenport Hill (1829-1919). Niece of Rowland Hill, she lived with her sister Rosamund. The two sisters  were both involved in prison reform, especially the treatment of juvenile delinquents and the children of the poor. Florence was also involved in the fight for women's suffrage.
