    1881: 1 a. ultramarine, Setting 1, imperforate on European paper (pos. 48), a used example of the "Split Cliché" variety (large vertical white patch at top right of stamp) on April 1882 cover from Kalaiya to Kathmandu tied by "Ka" hexagonal barred handstamp of KALAIYA in blue (Hepper page 11, fig. 10). Reverse with Kalaiya despatch cds (April 24) in blue and Kathmandu arrival cds in black. A fine and very rare first issue cover. Cert. Hellrigl AIEP (1997).
