    Indian Post Office 1882: Registered usages (2) with 2 a. pale blue used on trimmed 2 a. registered envelope to Bombay tied by "NEPAL" squared circle datestamp (Oct 30, 1896) and attractive 1897 registered cover to Cawnpore franked by 1 a. plum and 3 a. brown-orange similarly tied by "NEPAL" squared circle (Dec 7) with bold "REGISTERED / NEPAL" at base - this last with engraved crest on reverse ""Nisi Dominus Frustra / Deb Shum Bahadur Rana Shere Jung / Nepal" in red and countersigned by the Commander in Chief at left.
