    Indian Post Office 1856: ½ a. blue, a used example on 1867 cover to Calcutta tied by "137 / NEPAL" duplex of Kathmandu / Nepal Residency Post Office. Reverse with superb strike of framed "TOO LATE" applied on despatch in black (rare), Tirhoot hexagonal transit in red and Calcutta arrival (Jan 6). Less than a dozen examples of the "Too Late" marking are recorded. Cert. Hellrigl (1984).
