    Overprinted on India at the Zanzibar Gazette 1895/96: India 8 a. dull mauve overprinted, a used example, Row 10, stamp 12, position 120; showing variety "Br1tish for British", (small 1 for i, clean impression, State 1), cancelled by part MOMBASA squared circle datestamp (1896) in black. Fresh and fine, the cancellation leaving the variety clear. A great rarity from the First Setting. Cert. BPA (1987) Gi = unpriced.
