    1859/65: Eagle 20 c. blue (2) and 40 c. vermilion (2), tied to 1866 cover to Langnau, Switzerland endorsed "p. Messageries Impériale", tied by diamond of 81 dots in black, with red framed 'PD' above. "INDE / PONDICHERY" despatch cds (Aug 7) in black. Carried by the French steamer "Eurymanthe" to Galle and the "Alphee" to Suez; entry marking in Marseille (Sept 3) in red. Pontarlier-Berne TPO on reverse of a scarce cover to an unusual destination.
