    Incoming Mail 1870/71: France Bordeaux issue 40 c. and 80 c. carmine imperf. (Yvert 48+49), each used as single frankings to Mauritius, the 40 c. orange, clear to good margins, on March 1871 entire from Bordeaux tied '532' gros chiffres, endorsed "par le Equateur" and carried via the Cape, struck on arrival with "6d. / TO PAY" in blue, second entire from May 1871 carried on the "Donnai" to Aden with magnificent 80 c. carmine with huge margins all round tied by Nantes '2602' gros chiffres in black. Contents refer to the same cargo, a charming pair.
