British New Guinea 1897/1908: 1 d. vermilion, five examples used on 1899 cover to Armagh, Ireland all tied by "BNG" obliterators in black (9 bar) and in violet (10 bar obliterator) - this presumably applied after the "TAMATA / B.N.G." cds was struck below (Sept 10) in violet. Reverse with Tamata cds, Samarai (Sept 14) datestamp, Cookstown (Sept 25), Brisbane (Oct 12) and Armagh arrival cds (Nov 1). A very rare cover: the Tamata datestamp in violet is believed unique.
