    Guadalajara 1861: 8 r. black on red-brown, a quadrisected example used to pay the 2 reales rate to Guadalajara, tied by bold strike of circular negative "CORREOS / TEPIC" in black with oval framed "FRANCO / TEPIC" handstamp (Schatzkes figs. 416, 412) adjacent with "Mayo 28" date inserted in manuscript. Reverse with handstruck "2" reales due marking in black. Rare and most attractive entire. Ex collection Josling. Opinion Holcombe (1987) Scott = $ 250.
