    Province Napoletane 1861: 2 gr. light blue, a huge margined adhesive, fine and fresh, well embossed, tied by pen strokes with handwritten note "Fuori d'uso" alongside, obverse struck in addition with "AVERSA 27 NOV 62" despatch cds in black (Sassone CE = 11 punti with cancellation 'a svolazzo'), on cover to Guardiagrele via Chieti. Reverse with Napoli transit and GUARDIAGRELE arrival cds (Nov 29). The Province Napoletane adhesives were invalidated on October 1, 1862 and were tolerated until October 15. Therefore this adhesive was no more accepted in November 1862 and the letter was taxed. Signed A. Diena.
