    Ballon monté 1870 (Nov 23): Entire newspaper letter 'Dépêche Ballon' no. 8 carried on board of balloon no. 33 'Ville d'Orleans' directed to Eclassan, franked with Napoléon laureated 20 c. blue type II, a fresh and fine example, placed over a 5 c. green adhesive, tied by Paris SC cds in red. Reverse with Bordeaux - Cette ambulant as well as Auch and Masseube transit (Dec 12) cds's. An appealing depeche on this fascinating balloon which made its way to Norway. Cert.
