1863 (April): De La Rue (1 d.) lake, 4 d. bright violet and 6 d. emerald-green, unused examples affixed to piece from the De La Rue records, each with italic "Specimen" in manuscript ink. Illustrated in "The De La Rue Collection" edited by Frank Walton RDP on page 6381 where stated that these were cut from the day book on April 28, 1863.
