Recess by Perkins Bacon on white paper 1857: 1 d. deep turquoise-blue, wmk. Star, imperforate, variety on blued paper, a single example on 1858 entire letter to Colombo, with huge margins all round and portion of adjoining stamp at right, tied by barred obliterator with blurred 'Kandy' cds of despatch in black on reverse and Colombo arrival (Oct 24) on obverse.
