La Guaira 1864: Lithographed by Waterlow 2 r. green, perf. 13, two examples (one marginal from top of sheet), used on 1865 cover and crossed by file fold, from La Guayra to Paris, tied by "CORREOS / LA GUAIRA" despatch in black. Mailed from St. Thomas on the RMSP "Tasmanian" with London transit cds on reverse (Jan 14) and struck there with "GB / 1F 60 c." accountancy marking in black. Calais transit cds and charged with handstruck '16' décimes in black for double rate. Side flaps missing but a very scarce double rate cover and not unattractive.Starting bid : 500 CHFHammer price : 1,100 CHF -
