1872: ½ r. blue, a used example on 1877 cover from Quito to Paris, tied by gros chiffres "3154" in black (formerly of Rixheim, Alsace), with reverse showing British P.O. GUAYAQUIL cds of transit (June 17). Thence via Panama to London (July 12) where struck with "T / 1-70" accountancy handstamp in black and charged with handstruck '23' décimes marking in black.
