    1867/68: 5 c. violet, a used horizontal pair with large margins all round, tied to small piece by bold CORREOS DE LA PAZ / RB datestamp (8 Jan 1868) in black. Scott and Gibbons list this stamp as issued in 1868 and this pair constitutes an early usage but examples are known used in December 1867. A fine and rare piece. Signed Herbert Bloch Scott = $ 750.
