    1941 (Aug 1): Red Cross set of five values complete, as sent to the UPU in horizontal or vertical strips of three and forwarded on to the Mauritanian Post Office where kept as examples of new issues; all applied to part page and each security handstamped with three line "SPÉCIMEN / COLLECTION / MAURITANIE" cachets in rose-red. All are unique.
