    1940 (June 8): King Carol II Airmail / Aviation Fund set of eight values as sent to the UPU in horizontal strips of three and forwarded on to the Mauritanian Post Office where kept as examples of new issues; all applied to part page and each security handstamped with three line "SPÉCIMEN / COLLECTION / MAURITANIE" cachets in rose-red. All are unique.
