    French Post Offices in the Levant 1863/65: Two stampless entire letters from Varna, both struck with cogwheel "VARNA TURQ. D'EUROPE" datestamp, the 1863 entire fully prepaid to Livorno with cds of the French PO in Constantinople and Livorno arrival (Aug 6) cds on reverse. The 1865 entire letter sent unpaid via Constantinople to Genova, with Genova arrival cds on reverse, slitted for fumigation upon arrival.
