    1920 (June 22): 7½ st. on 15 st. violet, a used example on 1920 cover with full contents to Sofia tied by "Kazanlik" cds (Sept 19) in black. Underpaid by 17½ stotinki, however the cover was not taxed, as indeed one or two covers of this period can be found thus as it appears that, especially on internal mail, checks were not readily made. Hitzler estimates just 15 covers exist in this period where underpayment has escaped taxation. Scarce. Cert. Hitzler (2016).
