    1852: Entire letter from Bordeaux to Lima endorsed 'par L'Albatros', a private ship, prepaid on despatch with framed 'P.P.' in red, struck on arrival with large circular "CAPITANIA DEL PUERTO DEL CALLAO" with Anchor vignette in black. Docketing of receipt (Jan 9, 1853) internally. An unusual usage of this handstamp in lieu of a Vapor marking. Ex B. Moorhouse.
