Messageries Impériales 1878: Cover from Bogotá to Paris franked by 1877 10 c. brown tied by oval framed BOGOTÁ handstamp in black. Struck with circular French Consular "SAVANILLA" datestamp (Aug 4) in black (Salles fig. 1378) and octagonal "SAVANILLA / PAQ. FR. A No. 2" datestamp (Sept 4) in red (Salles fig. 1418) and carried on the Paquebot "St. Germain" to St. Nazaire. Struck with triangular "T" marking and charged '12' décimes due upon receipt.
