    Booth Line 1870 (July 9): Cover from Buenos Aires to Bologna, Italy at double rate endorsed "Italia via Maritimo", franked by Argentina 1867 Belgrano 10 c. green, tied by "Buenos Aires / OM" despatch cds (July 9). Carried by the Booth Line Steamer "La Place" with London cds in red (Aug 20) and struck there with framed "GB / 1F 60c." accountancy in black. Thence via Calais and struck with Convention marking "F*56" in black in Paris (Van der Linden fig. 1196). Taxed on receipt as unpaid with 1870 Italy 2 lire Postage Due tied by Genova cds (Aug 23). A few small imperfections but a scarce cover.
