    Messageries Impériales 1877: Cover from Buenos Aires to Montpellier, France franked by February 1877 8 c. in black on 10 c. green tied by circular "MESSAGERIES MARITIMES * BUENOS AYRES" cachet in blue and presumably handed direct to the Office, additionally franked by France Type Sage 1 fr. olive-green for onward transmission tied by octagonal "BUENOS-AYRES / PAQ. FR. J No. 3" datestamp (April 8) with additional strike at right (Salles fig. 1072). Carried on the "Orenoque" with Bordeaux cds (May 6) on reverse. Illustrated in Edition D'Or on page 112.
