    1840: Mulready 1 d. black envelope, stereo A167, a fine used example cancelled by black Maltese Cross with framed BARRAS BRIDGE RH at lower left in red (Receiving House). Reverse with double arc cds of 'Newcastle-On-Tyne' despatch cds (Aug 17, 1841) in black and 'Durham' arrival cds in blue (same day). Fresh and fine, the envelope used as a wrapper with the letter inside Gi = £ 550.
