    1879 (Dec 15): Great Britain 1876/79 2½ d. rosy mauve pl. 14, tiny rust spot on one perf., used on 1879 cover front from Paphos to Edinburgh tied by fine "981." obliterator with PAPHO / CYPRUS circular datestamp (Dec 15, code B) superbly struck alongside at left, the latest recorded usage in Parmenter & Gordon (page 1/48).
