    1879/80: 1 d. lilac-mauve and 2½ d. red-brown, wmk. Crown CC, unused examples each with vertical "SPECIMEN." overprint in red, possibly applied on arrival in Newfoundland (Samuel Type NF2). Both stamps removed from backing and with small imperfections and aging on reverse but believed unique.
