    1817: Registered front of cover from Mexico to Tulancingo struck with circular "CXC" handstamps in corners to denote registration, oval framed "INTENDENCIA / DE MEXICO" and manuscript dated "CERTIFICACION A MEXICO / SALIO EN 18 Junio 817" alongside "FRANCO / MEXICO" handstamp in black (Yag & Bash figs. M14 and M8 / Tizón figs. 12+16 = RRR). Receipted on reverse 'Tulancingo June 23'. The earliest recorded use of the registration handstamp.
