    ROPiT Steamer & Eagle 1865 (Nov 27): Cover from Alexandretta/Iskenderun to Aleppo bearing a fine and fresh 1865 Steamer & Eagle 2 pia. red & blue with vibrant colour and large regular margins all round, tied by numeral '782' of Alexandretta in blue, reverse with "PORT ALEKSANDRETTA 27 NOV." cds in blue (Tchilinghirian fig. 198). Filing fold away from the stamps and postmarks, cover fragile at the edges, nevertheless a scarce usage of this stamp with only few covers known. Signed A.
