    Postal Connections to Overseas - United States 1871 (March 31): Unpaid double rate cover from Jerusalem to Exeter, New Hampshire, USA endorsed "Via England", struck with "GERUSALEMME 31 / 3" cds (Tranmer type D), New York transit (Apr 30) alongside. Cover with tear and some wear but an unusual Transatlantic usage. Illustrated in 'Die Österreichische Post in der Levante' on page 375.rnNote: The cover was transported via the North German Confederation to its receiver with '4' silbergroschen for the Lloyd and '6' silbergroschen for the GAPU, the receiver had to pay '55' cents due.
