    International Postal Connections to Europe - Russia 1872 (April 12): Entire letter from Constantinople to St. Petersburg, franked with 1867 15 s. brown, a fresh and fine horizontal pair, tied by "CONSTANTINOPEL 12/4" cds in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 387). Reverse with St. Petersburg arrival cds (April 7). Cover with archival folds away from the stamps, some minor staining, but a scarce cover, illustrated in 'Die Österreichische Post in der Levante' on page 437.rnNote: Nearly all mail to Russia was transported with the Russian ROPiT shipping agency, therefor this cover represents a rare usage.
