    Competitors of the Austrian Lloyd - Germany 1874 (Jan 10): Formular postcard from Constantinople to Vienna, franked with Germany Large Shield 1872 1 gr. carmine, tied by clear "KAISERL. DEUTSCH. P.A. CONSTANTINOPEL 10/1 74 3-4 N." cds, Vienna arrival cds (Jan 18) alongside. An interesting usage, mail from the Levant to Austria and not sent via Lloyd is very rare. Illustrated in 'Die Österreichische Post in der Levante' on page 324.
