    Tobago 1858 (May 21): Great Britain 1856 6 d. lilac, a fine horizontal pair used on 1859 double rate entire letter from Scarborough to Bristol endorsed 'Post Paid', each cancelled by "A14" obliterator in black - this being the earliest recorded usage in Parmenter & Gordon - with adjacent superb strike of single ring "♚ / PAID / AT / TOBAGO" in red. Reverse with TOBAGO double arc datestamp (May 22) in black, London cds in red (June 14) and Bristol and Clifton cds's (June 15).
