    1938: Bradbury WIlkinson composite Essay for the Peace & Justice (Pax et Justitia) design, as utilised for nine values from the 1938/47 pictorial issue, with frame drawn in pencil and Flowers and Scrolling in background in Chinese white on shades of pale to deep blue, the vignette hand-painted in red-orange with the folds of the dresses picked out in Chinese white; with spaces for Duty Plate country name and King's head left blank. The lattice scrolling being extraordinarily well painted, an absolutely exquisite Essay.rnProvenance: RL, Bermuda, 2 Dec 1976, lot 916.
