    Postage due 1839/82: Collection 15 entires/covers mounted on sheets all with handstamped dues on front, including 1839 incoming entire from Greece marked '2', 1846 'PER LAZARET' stampless cover marked '20', 1864 Alexandria entire taxed '20' in Marseilles, two 1867 incoming entires from Italy taxed '1' piastre, two 1872 entires taxed '2' piastre, two 1873 covers from India taxed '80' para and '2' piastre, 1877 entire with 1 piastre stamp sent from Cairo to Tanta taxed '3' showing in addition boxed "AFFRANCATURA INSUFFICIENTE", 1875 double rate cover to Constantinople handstamped boxed "AFFRANCATURA INSUFFICIENTE" and '4' piastres, and 1881 incoming Italian cover taxed '15'. Also a rare Tanta cover sent to Alexandria with stamp removed by postal clerk and manuscript note 'timbre use', handstamped '2' piastres in addition.
