Lot# 3991 - Auction 250-256

1875 (Dec): 1 d. green, wmk. Large Star upright, line perf. 15 by Perkins Bacon, a used example, well centred and of fine appearance, lightly cancelled by circular "Grenada / B" datestamp of Victoria in black (October 1877). This small printing of just 40 sheets was line perforated by Perkins Bacon to replace spoiled sheets comb perforated at Somerset House. Ten examples are believed known in used condition (although Alfred Charlton recorded just the Hackmey strip of four and three single examples) - extraordinarily rare. Cert.
